Melissa West

B.A. Studio Art, University of Virginia


Born in Indiana and a long-time resident of Virginia, Melissa took painting and printmaking, and studied photography under William Wylie at the University of Virginia. After graduation, Melissa taught children's art classes part-time for seven years in Virginia. In Texas, she worked as painting instructor at Michael's Arts and Crafts and afterward served Art Guide at The Humanist Academy in Irving.

Vinegar&IceCream Studio is a cement-floor, garage-door 186 sq. ft. open space with cubbies for drying work, a large wooden table, shelves, easels, mat-cutter and plenty of paints and brushes, clay and fabric.
